Women in Architecture Mentoring Programme 2022

We are delighted to open the applications for the very first round of our Mentoring Programme! We have been committed to supporting women and people of marginalised genders in the architectural profession and we cannot wait to provide to our membership one of the most beneficial tools for further development: 1-on-1 mentoring!

Our steering committee has teamed up with Katya Veleva of BlushCloud to create new opportunities for our colleagues because we know how much great mentoring can impact a person’s career.

The programme will be aiming to help women and people of marginalised genders, so those are the mentees that we are welcoming. If you want to be a mentor, however, there is no limitation to your gender identity, because we know how many brilliant people there are who are passionate about fighting the gender disparity in architecture.

The built environment is there for ALL of us, so it is vital that ALL of us have a say in how it is designed!

Here are some details and some dates to note: 

  • Application period: 25th Oct - 12th Nov

  • Match introduction emails are sent out late Dec.

  • 6-month active mentoring: Jan-Jun 2022

  • Suggested up to 2hrs per month mentoring time

  • Periodic feedback is via surveys for mentees

  • Support for mentors is via catchup group calls

  • A graduation event will take place in July 

  • Closure and impact of the programme will be measured by a feedback survey
